The Association

Independent, non-commercial and connected – Your interest representation  in sourcing of IT and business processes in the D-A-CH markets and Europe.

The German Outsourcing Association is a completely independent member organisation. As registered association we act as platform for professionals and organisations involved or interested in sourcing or providing IT or business process services in/for the D-A-CH markets.


Our primary task is to actively support and influence the market for co-operations with external service providers in IT, finance, HR, procurement, manufacturing and management. In practice this means, that we accumulate, analyse and process information that are relevant for our markets, that we evaluate national and international service provider landscape as well as single organisations, that we provide opportunities for exchange and contact and that we provide active business support.

Interest representation

As independent association we represent the interests of all market attendees – buyers, consultants, service providers, and public administration. Among the relevant activities are the improvement of the transparency of the service provider landscape, building independent information and contact opportunities, active support when evaluating an communicating with service providers, consultants and public administration (e.g. for foreign investments).


Among the initiatives are publishing neutral, independent market information, and best practices, for instance via our Outsourcing Journal, the maintenance and development of online services, like our internal network, business directory, the organisation of events, general public relations and individual business consulting.

Organisation and Structure

The German Outsourcing Association (offcially and registered under the German name: “Deutsche Outsourcing Verband e.V.”) is registered as member association working after non-profit principles. The membership is not limited to a certain profession, business sector or country. We are open to everyone interested in IT and business process services, global markets, business and operational models, finance and others. The bylaws are public and available for download here (German only).

The association has 4 organs: the general council, the management board, the advisory board and the general meeting. The organs are responsible for operations, strategy and development of the association. Members of the general council are appointed by the management board, which is appointed by the advisory board.
